Our Collaborators:

This event is being delivered by Tala, our Youth Programmes Officer, in collaboration with Frontline Resilience and Zen and the Art of Saving the Planet.

Frontline Resilience reduces the barriers to receiving mental health support that climate activists face by providing no-cost, culturally-informed and climate-aware clinical and non-clinical mental health services.

Zen and the Art of Saving the Planet is a transformative online course, bringing to life the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh. It is a 7-week in-depth online learning journey to nurture insight, compassion, community, and mindful action in service of the Earth.

Meet Your Facilitator

Tala Sammur

Tala Sammur

Tala is a facilitator and somatic educator working at the intersection of embodiment, mental health, and social change. She supports people in reconnecting with their bodies through yoga, meditation, and breathwork so they can engage in the causes they care about in ways that are sustainable for their mental and physical health. Their work responds to cultures of burnout that often exist in activism and care work. Tala guides people to slow down, feel honestly, and reconnect with their values so they can keep showing up for themselves, their communities, and the struggles they believe in. She believes that sustainable movements require people who are resourced, embodied, and able to stay in the work for the long term.
