Holding Hope in a Time of Crisis

Wednesday 11th November 2026 - 3:00 pm CET
Wednesday 11th November 2026 - 6:00 pm CET
Location: Online
Age Requirement: All Ages

An online gathering on hope, across generations, faiths and the more than human.

Where do you take your climate worries, your faith, your doubts, or your spiritual longing, and who can you share them with? This gathering is for the space between worlds and the often unspoken. Whatever you believe, or don’t, come and talk about hope with others who are asking the same questions.

Who is this gathering for?

This is for the young and young at heart of every background: Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Indigenous, Muslim, animist, secular, spiritual-not religious and anyone who loves the living world. It’s for climate practitioners and carers of all backgrounds who feel called to engage with change at a deeper level.

What to expect:

We will have some collective time in a large group as well as some very participatory dialogue involving story sharing in small groups. There will be time for reflection with others, and for listening to wisdom circles with youth climate wise keepers and with faith, Indigenous and multispecies leaders. Have your camera on if you can, and a quiet, conducive corner.

What you’ll leave with:

New connections across generations and worldviews. Inspiration, hope, and a sense of possibility. A sense of being supported and not alone.

Bring someone along!

This gathering calls for greater connection. After you sign up, you’ll get a link to share with someone you’d like to invite to join you in the session. If you identify as a young person, we encourage you to invite someone elder whom you’d love to have in this conversation. If you identify as a ‘young at heart, only’ person, think of a young person in your life that would apprecaite this space. Share the invite, and they sign up themselves. You won’t be working together directly in the session – its an invitation for solidarity and bridge building and to support generational balance in the session. Coming on your own is welcome too.

Why this event, now?

Spiritual and religious dimensions remain marginalised in climate conversations, even though they shape how people and communities understand and respond to risk. Our concerns about the state of our natural world is more than a mental health issue, and the reasons we as a society struggle to address injustice at scale is deeper than a lack of coordination or will. We are experiencing a crisis of consciousness at a societal level. Indigenous wisdom has said so for generations. This gathering widens the climate story to welcome faith-based, secular, scientific and multispecies ways of knowing and being.
