Hannah Mathenge
Hannah Mathenge is a conservationist and communicator who led the 2024 pilot phase of the East Africa Resilience Circle, empowering 14 youth across five countries to build peer-led support networks and strengthen emotional well-being. She integrates climate resilience and adaptation into community workshops, using art and advocacy to help young people express eco-anxiety creatively and transform it into collective action. As an environmental steward, she champions sustainable livelihoods that honor local knowledge and ensure communities drive their solutions rather than receive token interventions.
Hannah represents grassroots voices in regional climate forums, insisting that true resilience emerges when people shape the strategies meant to support them. Her joyful energy and warm, inviting smile make every gathering feel like home, inspiring collective ownership and long-term change.
