Are you a changemaker based in Europe? Are you ready to be part of a journey activating community, joy, and connection through the creation of your very own climate book club?
We’re looking for young people to host People, Planet, Pages — our brand new programme of book clubs, designed to build community, foster joy, and cultivate connections.
About People, Planet, Pages
We’ve seen it time and time again: when young people get time and space to be real with each other, something shifts. The weight we’ve been carrying starts to lighten. We remember we’re not alone. Joy becomes a possibility.
This is more than a book club — it’s a route to remembering that burnout and climate anxiety are real, but so is the power we hold in community.
With rising hopelessness and fatigue experienced in recent years, People Planet Pages aims to build youth-led communities as the first step to action. It fosters joy and cultivates connection, while exploring influential texts on maintaining momentum and resilience together.

What You’ll Read
This year, we’re reading Not Too Late by Rebecca Solnit and Thelma Young Lutunatabua: 27 short essays from 23 climate leaders from around the world on changing the climate story from one of despair to one of possibility.
These are empowering essays from the leaders of the global climate movement – organisers, lawyers, writers, climate scientists, poets, and activists.
What You’ll Do
Your journey begins with a four-session online book club and facilitation training.
You’ll be trained to lead a six-session fortnightly book club for young people in your community or region, either online or in-person.
You’ll learn practical tools to unlock resilience, avoid burnout, and keep showing up for people and planet. You’ll also meet other young changemakers, make valuable connections, and build lifelong friendships.
After recruiting your participants, you’ll facilitate fortnightly sessions from October 2025 to February 2026, helping them explore tools for resilience, embrace joy, and build a deep sense of community and belonging.
You’ll Get
- New skills in facilitation, leadership, project management, and community care.
- Reduced climate anxiety, improved emotional wellbeing, and strengthened community bonds.
- A £100-£150 stipend, plus expenses.
- Lifelong friendships and a powerful support network.
Are You…
- Aged 18-28 and living in Europe from October 2025 to February 2026?
- Ready and able to commit time for training, facilitation, mentorship, and reporting over 5 months?
- Passionate about climate justice, reading, and building strong, emotionally resilient communities?
- A great listener, a compassionate leader-in-the-making, and excited to support others?
- Proficient in English?
