As a small, fast-growing organisation, we’re always on the look out for volunteers who can help us expand our reach and offer meaningful support to more changemakers around the world. Whether you’ve got a few hours to spare or you’re looking for a longer-term commitment, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Our commitment to you:

  • A named contact person for support and communication, specifically Matt Sowerby, Youth Programmes Lead – Europe
  • Real, meaningful work experience and a chance to make a tangible difference in a youth-led organisation working on climate resilience.
  • Guidance and training for tasks.
  • Fair, boundaried working tasks that respect the agreed volunteering arrangement and hours.
  • A reference from our CEO to support your future job search, upon completion of your volunteer period.
  • Access to our pastoral support systems, including the option to be paired with a peer support partner.
  • Invitation to some team meetings and community events, including our weekly ‘’Unwind’’ sessions at the end of our workweek (Thursday evening UK time), so you can get to know the team and feel part of our movement.

This opportunity to volunteer with The Resilience Project is a great chance to get involved in our work, make connections with our team, and gain valuable experience. You’ll contribute to our mission of supporting young changemakers facing burnout and overwhelm, while helping us grow the movement. Volunteering with us should not be seen as a stepping stone to paid employment. The Resilience Project recruits a very small number of paid staff members each year, and these positions are competitive. While members of our community, including volunteers, are welcome to apply, applicants are selected based on experience rather than previous proximity to The Resilience Project.
