Young people around the world are trying to cope with the climate crisis, extreme weather, burnout, isolation and climate anxiety. The Resilience Project is a youth-led community resourcing young people to become effective and resilient climate changemakers for a sustainable future. We enable youth to find their voice, people and power. Our vision is an international, inclusive and sustainable youth movement, resourced by connection, community and cooperation.

Role Overview:

Are you an organiser, programme designer, facilitator or community builder? If yes, an integral role has come up to lead the Resilience Project core programmes. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter to join our team as our Programmes Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for piloting our Ambassador programme, designing and delivering in-person and online residentials and facilitating workshops around mental health, climate anxiety and resilience. You will work closely alongside our supportive team to oversee, manage and drive our Programmes of Work, including training young people to deliver our 10-week, peer-support programme across the world. This role requires a flexible and experienced project manager with a history of managing training programmes.

Note: The Programme Lead oversees select meetings and programmes that run outside of the standard work day.  A requirement for this role is to be available all weekend on final or penultimate weekend of July (dates TBC) for a TRP Residential, 13:00-15:00 BST 26th May, 13:00-15:00 BST 15th September, and 14:00-16:00 BST 1st December to host Board of Youth meetings, and be willing to take community calls from 17:30-18:30 as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme Development: Lead the design, development and implementation of community-focused training programmes that promote resilience, mental health and well-being, specifically overseeing our new Ambassador programme and the creation of international, peer-support programmes.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the leadership team to contribute to the strategic planning process, ensuring that programme objectives align with the organisation's overall mission and vision.

  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution and evaluation of programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and meet quality standards.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with community stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries to understand their needs for programme delivery and ensure programme relevance.

  • Community Management: Effectively manage and communicate with individuals involved in Resilience Project programmes, including the Board of Youth, ambassadors, volunteers and alumni. 

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing leadership and coordination to ensure effective collaboration in programme development and delivery.

  • Facilitation: Engage in the facilitation of workshops to corporate, b-corporate and NGO clients, both online and in-person. 

  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of programmes, making informed decisions based on feedback for continuous improvement, in collaboration with the Chief Operations Officer.

  • Resource Management: Manage programme budgets and allocate resources efficiently. Community Outreach and Ambassador work: Represent The Resilience Project, our mission and values in community events, national and international meetings and summits, actively engaging with the target audience and stakeholders.

Essential 

  • Proven experience in programme development and management, ideally within a nonprofit or community development setting.

  • Proven experience in project management

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven experience in facilitation and public speaking, both online and in-person.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Exceptionally strong organisational skills. 

  • Results-oriented with a focus on impact and outcomes.

  • Passion for making a positive social impact.

Desirable 

  • Proven experience in managing budgets and allocating financial resources.

  • History of working with international youth changemakers.

  • Working knowledge of organisational tools such as Asana and Google workspace.

  • Proven experience in managing and delivering in-person residentials.

  • Strong understanding of community engagement, mental health and well-being.

  • Proven experience in supervising or managing volunteers.
