Resilience Residentials
What is a Resilience Residential?
Magical, restorative, transformational, empowering
These are all words people have used to describe our Residentials.
Are you aged 18-25?
Are you concerned about the climate crisis?
Does climate anxiety, burnout and poor mental health get in the way of your ability to take action, or even knowing where to start?
Are you based in Europe (including the UK)?
(If you’re based elsewhere in the world, hold tight, we’re coming to you soon! Follow us

If you’re thinking ‘Yes!’, then you can apply to become a Resilience Circle co-host.
At our Resilience Residentials, we train young people aged 18 to 25 to facilitate their own Resilience Circle.
At the Residential you will:
- Learn how to establish and host a Resilience Circle
- Pause, recharge (and have fun!) in nature
- Develop transformational leadership and facilitation skills
- Cultivate rich personal development learnings
- Connect with a diverse community of change-makers
- Become a certified Mental Health First Aider and Climate Cafe facilitator
And as if that wasn't enough, the Residential is filled with wild swimming, camp fires, incredible food and lots and lots of joy!
Some details
The Residential is 5 days long and usually takes place in the summer
Locations change but it will always take place in nature, in the UK
It is completely free for co-hosts to attend (including accommodation, food and travel expenses)
Co-hosts are paid an honorarium on completion of the 10-week programme to recognise their hard work
After taking part in our Resilience Residential
- 92% of co-hosts described the experience as life-changing
- 100% of co-hosts felt 'ready and equipped to start making change in the world'
We like to keep an element of mystery around our Residentials (because surprises are lots of fun!) but you can definitely expect:
- To engage in real talk about the climate crisis
- To learn how to recruit, onboard and facilitate your own Resilience Circle
- To feel empowered and confident in yourself as a person and a changemaker
- To develop key transferable skills like leadership, facilitation, and communication.
- To have an unforgettable and life-changing week!
- Become a certified Mental Health First Aider and Climate Cafe facilitator
Let’s be honest, it can be tough out there for young people. Our programme will not only boost your emotional and psychological resilience to keep fighting for a fairer world, but it will help you develop important transferable skills that look great on your CV.
Our alumni have gone on to run their own Resilience Circles for their institutions and workplaces, organise youth marches of 300,000 people, become Sustainability Officers, build their own award-nominated community-based organisations, become Green Party councillors and much more!
