Graphics and Motion Designer

4 hours a week | Remote working based in UK

Salary: £14 per hour (£15.20 per hour if based in London)

The Resilience Project is a youth-led community resourcing young people to become effective and resilient climate changemakers for a sustainable future. Role Overview:

Are you a designer specialised in graphic design and motion graphics for social media? If yes, an integral role has come up to support the Resilience Project's online content. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter to join our team as an in-house, graphic and motion designer. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our Communications and Partnerships Lead with creation, management and sharing of content on our online platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Design: Visualise briefs on content creation that effectively showcase the work of the Resilience Project for social media channels and external stakeholders.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Communications and Partnerships Lead to optimise content sharing, diversifying what we share on our online platforms. 

  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution and evaluation of briefs, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet the criteria given.

  • Communications Liaison with Board of Youth: Liaise with the Board of Youth to produce testimonials and other content to be shared on our online platforms. 

Essential 

  • Proven experience as a graphic and motion designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design and animation projects.

  • Proficient in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects).

  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory.

  • Creativity and ability to think visually, translating concepts into compelling designs and animations.

  • Proven experience in project management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Strong organisational skills. 

  • Results-oriented with a focus on impact and outcomes.

  • Passion for making a positive social impact.
